Left sided attacking midfield player Scott Gates joined Cowden on a month-long loan deal from Dundee. The agreement could be extended until the end of the season.

Gates, who has been capped for Scotland at under 17 level, made his debut for Dundee in 2005 and has featured 13 time since then for the 1st team. The German born player spent the first half of this season on loan at Montrose and made 17 appearances for the Gable Endies
