Livingston ‘A’ 0, Cowdenbeath ‘A’ 1
The reserves continued their unbeaten start to their league fixtures with a narrow win over Livingston at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium.
We had the early chances in the game with Nicholson shooting over the bar after just seven minutes while Callaghan was wide of target after he picked up a clearance from a Milne corner.
Lewis Milne got the only goal of the night after 27 minutes when he fired a 20 yard free kick which was fumbled by keeper Jamieson on its way into the top corner of the home goal.
Nine minutes later it was almost 2-0 when good play from Ramsay and Milne saw the later crash a shot off the post and three minutes from the break Jamieson dived to deny Ramsay.
The second half opened with Milne sending a 20 yard shot over the bar while at the other end Ross Gray found himself through on goal but sent his shot wide of the target.
Callaghan then sent an inviting cross into the Livi box but Finnie shot over from six yards.
In 71 minutes the home side almost grabbed an equaliser when Liam Gray beat the offside trap but his shot flashed off the upright.
As the game drew to a close Jamieson palmed away a 20 yard shot from O’Brien while substitute Collins saw claims for a penalty waived aside by referee Lowe while fellow sub Russell blasted wide in the dying seconds.
