We went down to a narrow defeat from Premier League Saints in our second pre-season game on Wednesday night at Central Park. It took the Perth side only 90 seconds to get what proved to be the only goal of the night when David Wotherspoon cracked a free kick in off the corner of the Cowden goal to open his account with his home city club.

 

Colin Cameron used the same 19 players that were in the squad for the draw with Sheffield United although he rotated his starting line up. Unfortunatley trialist keeper Scott Mathieson who started the game had to be replaced after just seven minutes after injuring his hip while attempting to stop Wotherspoon's goal.
