We continued our pre-season build up with a goalless draw at New Bayview on Saturday afternoon. The match however will probably be best remembered for each side ending with ten men after Jamie Stevenson and Adam Bouzid were sent off on the hour following a clash in the middle of the park.
Once again Colin Cameron utilised his full squad during the 90 minutes with a trialist who had been released by an English Championship side getting a 70 minute run out, while young keeper Callum Speedie made his debut in the closing stages.
We had the better of the first half with Stevenson, Stewart and Russell coming close to breaking the deadlock, while the Methil side had an early flurry at the start of the second period.
However following the red cards and a succession of subsitutions took the flow out of the game although McKenzie came close to grabbing a winner four minutes from time but his shot was held by McNeill.
Next us is a visit from a Motherwell XI next Saturday.
