A goal in each half from Mark Ramsay (pen) and Dean Brett gave a youthful reserve team a 2-1 victory over neighbours East Fife in the Reserve League Cup. The second successive win moves Cowden into third place in the East Division.

Skipper Mark Baxter got another welcome 90 minutes under his belt as he continued his comeback from a shoulder injury.
