Easter Camp A Success

Posted April 7, 2014

Cowdenbeath FC and Beath Community Use successful season of School Holiday Soccer Camps continued last week with 33 kids aged 5 to 13 attending the week long Easter Soccer Camp at Beath High School.

After spending the week brushing up on their football skills under the watchful eyes of Cowdenbeath FC Coach Dean Ewing and 1st Team Squad players, Aron Lynas and Seb Usai, the camp were put through their paces on Friday afternoon by the Manager Jimmy Nicholl.

The manager said “ I was really impressed with the quality shown by the young boys and girls and they were great to work with. I know the coaches enjoyed the week and the wet weather didn’t seem to dampen the kids spirits.” The Club is grateful to Network Rail and the SPFL Trust who support us to deliver the Soccer Camps which means we can keep the cost affordable.”

The Easter Camp was this year sponsored by Network Rail and during the week, the kids received a Rail Safety session with local British Transport Police Officer, PC Jan Langer. Everyone also received a “www.Rail-Life.co.uk ” mug containing an Easter Egg and Cowdenbeath FC merchandise.
