MATCH PREVIEW – HIBERNIAN (AWAY)
MATCH PREVIEW – HIBERNIAN (AWAY)
Posted January 15, 2015
It’s a second successive away game on Saturday when we head to the capital to face Hibernian at Easter Road with a 3 p.m. kick off.
Our two previous meetings with Alan Stubbs’ side have seen us lose on both occasions by a one goal margin.
Back in September on our last visit to Easter Road we went down 3-2. Jordan Forster gave the Hi-bees a half time lead but two goals in the space of five minutes early in the second half from Sean Higgins and Jon Robertson put us ahead.
Our lead lasted until 12 minutes from the end when Dominique Malonga equalised on his debut.
As the game headed deep into injury time a draw looked on the cards before Jason Cummings slotted home a 94th minute winner for the capital side.
The return game at Central Park saw Hibs race into a 2-0 half time lead through Paul Hanlon and Cummings again. The second half saw Robertson pull a goal back but we an equaliser eluded us.
Last Saturday saw us earn our first point of 2015 in a 1-1 draw at Livingston with an own goal from Simon Mensing cancelling out Danny Mullen’s opener.

Hibs go into the game on a five match unbeaten run, although their last two games have ended in draws.
Last Saturday they drew 3-3 at Easter Roadagainst Falkirk despite leading 3-1 just short of the hour mark.
This was the fifth draw in ten home games with the others coming against Raith Rovers (1-1), Dumbarton (0-0) Hearts (1-1) and QOS (0-0).
As well as beating us other home wins have come against Livingston (2-1), Alloa (2-0) and Rangers (4-0).
Falkirk are the only away side to leave Leith with three points after a 1-0 win back in August.
