GAME ON! QUEEN OF THE SOUTH (HOME)

Posted January 31, 2015

After the disappointment of seeing last week’s game with Rangers postponed due to the weather we get back into Championship action when we face Queen of the South on Saturday at Central Park with a 3 p.m. kick off.
Cowden are one of two sides that James Fowler’s Doonhamers have failed to beat in the Championship this season (Hearts are the other) with us running out 2-1 winners in the two previous meetings.
Back in September first half goals from Kudus Oyenuga and Callum Gallagher gave us our win at Central Park with Derek Lyle pulling a goal back for the visitors.
The return game at Palmerston saw Gallagher score once again in his last game for us with Lyle once again equalising before Sean Higgins scored an injury time winner.
New signings Robbie Buchanan, John Herron and Colin Nish may make their home debuts for us.
