Edinburgh City will step up to join Cowdenbeath FC in League Two next season.  A keyman in delivering this great achievement for the Meadowbank based club was former Cowdenbeath skipper Joe Mbu.  

 

He was a dominating presence in yesterday’s match at Ochilview and his manager at Edinburgh City compared Joe’s influence on the side in his spell with City as akin to that of the late, great Dave MacKay.  

 

We understand that this also was Joe’s last match.  We therefore both now congratulate Joe on this latest triumph and wish him all the very best for the future.  His 5 years of great service to Cowdenbeath FC will never be forgotten and he has the respect of all who knew him at Central Park.
