Central Park

Central Park as many folks will know is 100 years old this year. Its venerable age does tend to present a number of challenges but in the last couple of weeks it has been the new stand which is less than 25 years old that has given the football club some not inexpensive repair problems albeit the staff from GMP have as always been a great help in tackling the problems. The water heating boiler system firstly stopped functioning and for a time it seemed that a whole new boiler system would be required. Replacement parts though were tracked down and the system is now up and running again at a more reasonable although still significant cost. The central heating system then went awry and needed repaired. Matters though were exacerbated further by water ingress from the stand roof which has caused part of the ceiling in the board room to collapse plus also damaged the Match officials room, the cash room, the Manager's Office and the tunnel area. Carpets and decor have also been damaged.
