After a two week lay off due to the weather and our opponents Scottish Cup commitments we get back into Ladbrokes League Two action when we welcome Jim Chapman and his Annan side to Central Park with a 3 p.m. kick off.
Despite us being in mid February it will be only our second home game of 2017 with the last game taking place at Central Park on 7th January when we lost to a late goal against Berwick. Since then our games with Edinburgh City and Elgin have both fallen victim to the weather.
While we have been idle over the last fortnight, with a closed door game being postponed both last Friday night and Saturday due to the weather, our visitors Annan have had mixed results over the last two Saturdays.
A fortnight ago they went down 4-1 at Berwick but bounced back last Saturday with a 1-0 home win over Edinburgh City with the evergreen Peter Weatherson scoring for the second successive Saturday.
The Galabank side currently sit in fourth place on 34 points four ahead of Montrose who have played a game less. Away from home this season Annan have won 3 and drawn 3 of their 12 games on the road with one of the draws coming at Central Park in October when we came back from being 2-0 down at the break to earn a point. The return game at Galabank however saw a 2-0 win for the home side.
