Saturday afternoon see's us kick off a run of three consecutive home games as we welcome Montrose to Central Park with a 3 p.m. kick off.
Stewart Petrie's side are the current form team in the division with three consecutive league wins with their only defeat in their last five league and cup games being an extra time loss to Championship side Queen of the South in the Irn Bru Cup.
The Gable Endies have now moved to within two points of league leaders Stirling Albion following a 1-0 home win over Edinburgh City last week with former Cowden striker Craig Johnston getting his fourth goal in three games.
Johnston is one of five former Cowden players in the Links Park squad along with Allan Fleming, Iain Campbell, Martyn Fotheringham and Liam Callaghan.
The previous meeting of the sides back in August saw a 1-0 win for Montrose at Links Park with Sean Dillon getting the only goal of the afternoon.
Following the departure of Billy Brown earlier in the week John Ovenstone takes charge of the side as we look to break a run of four successive league and cup defeats as we go in search of our first win since we beat Edinburgh City back on 12th August.
