MATCH PREVIEW - STIRLING ALBION (A)

Posted December 9, 2017

After an enforced break last weekend we get back into League Two action on Saturday afternoon when we face former league leaders Stirling Albion at Fothbank Stadium with a 3pm kick off.

While we didn't have a game in the past week Stirling have lost twice, 1-0 at Berwick and in midweek at home 1-0 to Peterhead, as the Blue Toon took over at the top of the table pushing the Albion down to third place.

With no game last Saturday Gary Bollan took his squad to Auckenhowie on Tuesday night to face Rangers under 20 side with the young light blues running out 3-0 winners.

The first meeting of the sides this season back in October saw a comfortable 3-0 win for Stirling at Central Park, their third successive win on our ground, with goals from Darren Smith, Peter MacDonald and Neil McLaughlin.

Last season saw us win our two games at Forthbank stretching our unbeaten run at the stadium to six matches with our last defeat there coming in March 2010 as the sides battled for the Second Division title with a goal from Michael Mullen swinging the game in the Binos favour.

David Syme will be once again suspended for the game as he finishes his three game ban following his sending off against Elgin last month while our hosts will be without Andy Black who was sent off in the midweek defeat from Peterhead.

The trialist who featured against Annan and Elgin will be once again eligible for selection.
