MATCH PREVIEW - CLYDE (A)

Posted February 17, 2018

Saturday see's us make our second visit of the season to Broadwood Stadium to face Clyde with a 3 p.m. kick off.

With our home game against the Bully Wee in mid December being postponed we have only faced Clyde once this season, also at Broadwood,in September when a last minute penalty from Harvey Swann cancelled out an opener from Smart Osadolor.

Since that meeting both sides have of course changed their managers with both Gary Bollan and Danny Lennon facing their old sides on Saturday. Gary played for the Bully Wee before taking on the role of Head of Youth for a few seasons and was interim manager for a short spell at Broadwood a decade ago.

Danny wound down his playing career with us and went onto guide us to successive promotions from the Third Division to the First Division before moving on to take over at St Mirren.

David Cox serves a one game suspension with top scorer Robbie Buchanan also missing out after suffering a broken hand. Clyde will be without Ally Love who starts a five game ban.

COWDEN FIVE GAME FORM

Last Saturday's 2-1 home defeat was our fourth in the last five games. Our last point came a fortnight ago in a 1-1 draw at Annan.

Top Scorer - Robbie Buchanan (4).

CLYDE FIVE GAME FORM

The Bully Wee have won their last four games beating Montrose (3-1), Peterhead (1-0), Edinburgh City (3-2) and Berwick (1-0). Their last defeat came a month ago when they lost 3-0 at Stenhousemuir.

Last Saturday's win at Shielfield Park saw them leapfrog Berwick into seventh place in the table.

Top Scorer - David Goodwillie (14).
