INVERKEITHING HILLFIELD SWIFTS
We welcome Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts as they join the senior football ranks in the East of Scotland League. Hillfield Swifts were founded in 1996 as Inverkeithing Boys Club and changed their name to Inverkeithing Blue Brazil at the instigation of Craig Levein in 1997. Eddie Spence and Barry McMahon were involved with the Swifts then. A couple of years later, the link with Cowden was dropped and the current name adopted. The Blue Brazil Boys Club which is based at Venters Park was also formed in the 1990s originally as a feeder club for Cowdenbeath FC but also later became a fully independent entity. Cowdenbeath FC exceptionally has granted the Blue Brazil Boys Club the right to use its Registered Trademark ‘the Blue Brazil’.
