MATCH PREVIEW - ALBION ROVERS (H)

Posted February 19, 2019

A run of three successive Tuesday night games commence when Rovers visit Central Park with a 7.45pm kick off.

In what has been a disappointing campaign for our visitors they sit bottom of Ladbrokes League Two with just seven points from their 24 games played, seven behind ninth placed Berwick who have also played two games less.

Two of those points have come in the two previous games with us with each match ending 1-1, leaving us as the only side who have failed to beat the Rovers this season.

The first meeting of the season back in late September saw a 1-1 draw as Rovers under the charge of former manager John Brogan got their first point of the season. Lewis McLear, now of Stirling Albion, had given them a half time lead before Jordyn Sheerin came off the bench to level with eight minutes to go.

By the time of the second match in December John Brogan had been replaced by Kevin Harper and his side took an early lead from the penalty spot through Jamie Gallagher who last week signed for Lowland League side East Stirlingshire. Our equaliser also came from the penalty spot and a player who has since moved on Josh Skelly, who returned to Montrose after his loan spell with us came to an end.

Recent signing Luc Bollan will miss the game after being sent off against Annan in Saturday's game with David McGurn looking likely to return after keeper Aaron Lennox went off injured while Robbie Deas also returns after being on Scotland U19 duty in Spain over the last week which saw him miss the Anbab match.
