After our midweek win over bottom of the table Albion Rovers we now face two successive away games against the top two sides. First up is a trip to Ainslie Park on Saturday afternoon to face league leaders Edinburgh City with a 3 p.m. kick off.
City have won the two previous meetings this season with us still looking to score against the capital side. Back in September a goal from Conrad Balatoni was enough to give City the points in our previous visit to Ainslie Park, while Scott Shepherd and Blair Henderson scored in a 2-0 win at Central Park in December with us finishing the game with ten men after Jason Talbot was sent off.
City currently sit a point ahead of Peterhead, who have played a game less, with the Blue Toon closing the gap at the top last Saturday whilst the Edinburgh side were down in Wales in Irn Bru Cup duty, losing their semi final to Welsh League leaders Connah's Quay Nomads. Despite taking an early lead through skipper Josh Walker the game ended 1-1 with the Nomads after loan signing from Celtic Ciaran Diver saw his penalty in the shoot out saved by the keeper to allow the home side to win 5-4.
