Blue Brazil For Olly

Cowdenbeath FC boss Gary Bollan is continuing to put together his squad for the season ahead and he was highly delighted today to sign 18 year old striker Oliver Hamilton on loan from St Johnstone. Cowden fans of course have good cause to remember Olly as last season on the day after his 18th birthday he turned in a scintillating match-winning performance when on loan to Brechin City. His two fine goals that day were his first senior goals and they gave City a 2-1 win over Cowden with Olly picking up the Man of the Match award.

Olly has come through the ranks of the youth academy at his local club St Johnstone and made his first team debut for Saints as a substitute in a match v Hamilton. At 13 he was a winger but with his trickery and pace he then proved to have a real eye for goal as a striker. Grateful thanks go to Saints for agreeing to allow Olly to further his development at Central Park and we hope to see many more man of the match performances this season!
