MATCH PREVIEW – STRANRAER (A)

We head to the south west for our first game against Stranraer since April 2016.

The Stair Park side were relegated from League One at the end of last seasons curtailed season.

The Blues go into the game looking for their first win of the season. Their opening 3 league games have yielded just a point in a 1-1 draw at Annan, which was either side of home defeats from Elgin, 4-1, and last Saturday Queen’s Park 1-0.

The Betfred Cup saw two draws in the two games played so far. There was a 1-1 draw at Annan which saw Stranraer pick up a bonus point after a 5-4 shootout win. The visit of Albion Rovers saw a 2-2 draw with the Wee Rovers winning 15-14 in a penalty shoot out which is a new record for Scottish football.
