Annan Athletic 1-1 Cowdenbeath

A late Kyle Fleming goal denied ten man Cowdenbeath a rare victory at Galabank in the home side's last game of the season.

The visitors had the first chance of the game in the 8th minute when the ball broke to Harvey Swann after Kris Renton had won into an aerial challenge but Swann's effort was narrowly wide.

Annan's Darren Christie then nearly took advantage of a mix up between Jamie Pyper and Nicky Hogarth but Hogarth recovered to deny the on loan forward. Hogarth was called into action again a few moments later and spread himself well to keep out Aidan Smith.

Good work from Robbie Buchanan on the right fashioned an opportunity for Iain Russell with his effort being saved by Alex Mitchell who also gathered Renton's header from a Russell cross just before the half hour mark.

The Blue Brazil's best chance of the half came when a long ball over the top found a galloping Ryan Finnie who closed in on goal but he was also denied by Mitchell in the home goal. From the resulting corner, Kyle Hutton's header found the crossbar.

Gary Bollan's side took the lead in the 50th minute when Buchanan ran onto a through ball before coolly finishing for his first goal of the season.

Two yellow cards for Hutton in the 75th and 82nd minutes saw him head for an early bath before Peter Murphy's side grabbed an 89th minute equaliser through Kyle Fleming.

The draw ensure that Cowdenbeath will finish the season in 9th place regardless of what happened in the last round of fixtures. The Galabankies finish the campaign in 8th.
