Assistant Manager Appointed

New Manager Maurice Ross has wasted no time in appointing his Assistant. Cowdenbeath FC are very pleased to confirm tonight that Scott Paterson has accepted the post as Assistant Manager at Central Park.

Scott enjoyed a long and successful playing career despite being hampered by injury problems. After starting out with Cove Rangers he was signed by Graeme Souness for Liverpool in 1992. He then played for a number of clubs both north and south of the Border. Scott spent 4 years with Bristol City and subsequently two years with Partick Thistle where he was a member of the Thistle side which won promotion to the Premier League in 2002 as 1st Division champions. Scott later moved into coaching roles with Aberdeen and Livingston before becoming assistant manager to Alan Archibald at Partick Thistle in 2013. Together they were in charge for 5 years at Firhill in what was Thistle's longest spell in the top flight for two decades.
