It’s our final home game of 2021 as we welcome Edinburgh City with a 7.45pm kick off.
This will be our second game of the season with The Citizens with our previous meeting at Ainslie Park in October ending 1-1. Danny Handling had given the hosts the lead after eight minutes but Kris Renton got a deserved equaliser with seven minutes to go.
It has been an up and down campaign for Gary Naismith’s side who remain in contention for a promotion play off place despite not having won a league match since late November when they beat Stirling Albion 2-0 at Forthbank. The bumpy run continued on Friday night when they went down 4-0 at home to second place Forfar.
Away from the league, the Scottish Cup has been more successful with wins over non league sides Bo’ness United and Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale which now sees them meet Aberdeen for the first time.
We go into the match unbeaten at home this month with a win over Stirling Albion and Saturday’s draw with Albion Rovers which we were unlucky not to take maximum points.
