Manager Maurice Ross and his charges once again are in themiddle of a fixture hiatus - one advantage of that is that it does allow for someinjuries to hopefully heal up. December though brings a rush of fixtures despite us having already reached the half way point in our Lowland League match programme.

In order to strengthenour resources for thesecond half of the campaignandto increase our options up front Cowdenbeath today agreed a loandeal with neighbours EastFifewhich sees their 21 year old striker Michael Cunningham come to Central Parkfortherestof the season.

Michaelhimselfisa Fife lad, and after coming throughtheyouth ranks at Celtic, hejoined Dundee in 2019. He then moved to EastFife in 2021 and was awarded a contract extensionlast February by the Methil club. He also had loan spells with Cumbernauld Colts and Edinburgh City when he was at Dens Park.

Cowden’s Football Operations Coordinator Colin Nelson isdelightedthat Michaelhas decided to join us - "He has been a target for the club since August and I'd like to thank Greig McDonald and East Fife for makingthis loan move happen. Michael reallyfits the profile of what we want at the club. Young and ambitious as well as being a Fifelad. Look forward to seeing him in action."

Assistant Manager Colin Jack added, "Having worked with Michael before I know the qualities that he will bring to the team and we are indeeddelighted that he has decided to join the club."

Michael reports for training tonight and said, "I’mreally looking forward to get going, it's been circling for a while now but finally good to get everything sorted.
