The games may be over for the season but Central Park is a hive of activity with preparations well underway on a number of fronts for next season - not least on the playing front.
Cowdenbeath FC are therefore delighted to confirm that today manager Calum Elliot concluded the transfer of Jack Tait from Hermes FC who finished 2nd in the North Region Junior League. Jack previously was in the youth set up at Aberdeen and Peterhead as well as playing for Ellon United before joining Hermes.
Jack is a left back and is 25 years old. He relocated down to Fife in January and has trained with us since then. He committed to Hermes to finish the season with them. In training we soon recognised his quality and decided we would like him to join us.
Cowden boss Calum Elliot said, "I’m really looking forward to working with Jack and giving him the opportunity to play in the Lowland League.
He’s a player the club has been monitoring for sometime and seeing him up close in training in the past two weeks I’m positive he will be a strong addition to the club and a player the fans will enjoy watching. He comes to us on the back of a good season and I know he’s eager to make a strong impression at Cowdenbeath."
After putting pen to paper Jack commented, "Cowdenbeath is a huge club and to be part of it is a great achievement for me. This will be a step up but I’m excited for the challenge ahead. I have been training with the club since January whilst honouring my commitment to Hermes to see out the season with them as
they were pushing for the title.
I want to thank Hermes for sorting out the deal as they did and I’m looking forward to my time at Cowdenbeath."
Cowdenbeath FC’s Football Operations Coordinator Colin Nelson added, "Happy to announce we have completed the transfer of Jack Tait - a quick and aggressive left sided player. Jack has been training with us since January since his relocation due to work to the Fife area. He’s a great lad and has shown a strong desire to be part of this club."
