Welcome Zac Butterworth

Cowdenbeath FC are delighted to announce the signing of Zac Butterworth on a pre-contract agreement from Caledonian Braves.

The versatile winger, aged 22, arrives at Central Park after a great season at Alliance Park where he hit double figures in both goals (13) and assists (14).

A product of Rangers Academy, Zac had loan spells at Edinburgh City and Clyde before joining The Braves in the summer of 2021.

Manager Calum Elliot gave his thoughts on his latest signing "I’m absolutely delighted to bring Zac to the club. He has been a main target since the first day I joined the club. He’s had two very productive seasons at Caledonian Braves under a brilliant manager there, I am really looking forward to working with him and supporting him on the next stage of his career.

He’s quick, direct and a real goal threat. He’s got all the attributes I am looking for in the wide areas. I have no doubts at all that he will be a big player for the club next season."
