MATCH PREVIEW - HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN B (H)

Posted December 15, 2023

It's Friday night under the lights as we welcome Hearts B to Central Park with a 7.45pm kick off.

Back in August we ran out 2-1 winners over the Wee Jambos at Ainslie Park with goals from Josh Jack and Jamie Docherty either side of Bailly Dall’s equaliser while Andy Rodden was sent off in the closing seconds of the night.

Last season we drew 1-1 at Ferguson Park with MacKenzie Lemon opening the scoring and Connor Smith quickly levelling the score.

The return game at Central Park saw a 3-1 win with goals from Sam Newman, Scott Walker and Scott Sinclair with Callum Sandilands getting the Hearts' goal.

LAST TIME OUT

Last Saturday saw us draw 3-3 with Celtic B at Central Park. After being twice behind we got ourselves in front only for the Young Hoops to equalise from the penalty spot.

THE OPPOSITION

Hearts B have had a much improved season in the Lowland League and currently sit in second place with 39 points from their 19 games and currently sit five points behind East Kilbride who have played two games less.

Last Friday the beat Civil Service Strollers 3-0 at Ainslie Park in a match which was abandoned after 78 minutes after a medical incident involving Strollers' coach Michael Pentland.

At a meeting of the SLFL in midweek it was decided that the result will stand.
