MATCH PREVIEW - CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS (A)

We head over the River Forth looking for our first win of 2024 as we face Civil Service Strollers with a 3pm kick off at Christie Gillies Park.

Our previous three games in the Lowland League over the last two seasons against Gary Jardine’s side have been tight affairs with Strollers winning twice 2-1 last season while our clash at Central Park in August saw a 2-2 draw.


LAST TIME OUT

Last Sunday we bowed out of the Lowland League Cup at Forthbank Stadium losing 4-2 to University of Stirling.


THE OPPOSITION

Strollers currently sit in sixth place in the table with 39 points from their 23 games played so far.

They have been on an impressive run with only one defeat in their last six leagues which was at Berwick a fortnight ago. Last Saturday they had a 3-1 home win over Edinburgh University.

So far this season they have won 12 games beating Edinburgh University (4-3 & 3-1), Celtic B (3-1), Caledonian Braves (1-0), Bo’ness United (2-0), Cumbernauld Colts (3-1), Gala Fairydean Rovers (2-1 & 7-0), University of Stirling (2-0), Berwick Rangers (1-0), East Stirlingshire (2-0) and Tranent (1-0).

Along with our draw in August they have also shared points with East Stirlingshire (0-0) and Caledonian Braves (1-1). Their eight defeats have come against Hearts B (2-3 & 0-3), Gretna 2008 (1-2), Broomhill (2-4 & 0-3), East Kilbride (0-2), Linlithgow Rose (0-2) and Berwick Rangers (0-1).
