ALBA & Co-op Cup - 1st round draws

The Blue Brazil will kick off the 2010/11 campaign with back-to-back away cup fixtures after the draws for the first round of the MG Alba Challenge Cup and the Co-operative Insurance Cup were made this week.

The season opener will see derby action in the 1st round of the ALBA Challenge Cup with a short trip to face 1st Division rivals Raith Rovers. The tie will take place at Stark's Park on Saturday 24th July @3pm. Season 2010/11 is going to be a Fife derby bonanza year for Cowden after joining Dunfermline Athetic and Raith Rovers in the 1st Division following the play-off victory earlier this month.

Cowden's second game of the season will also be away from home after former Central Park gaffer and current Scotland boss, Craig Levein handed us a tie with 3rd Division Clyde in the 1st round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup. The game will take place at Broadwood on Saturday 31st July @3pm.
