Watt's Happening at Central Park?!

As the dust settles on season 2024/25, new Cowdenbeath manager Paul McLean is busy working on building his squad for season 2025/26. In that regard, the Blue Brazil are pleased to start the ball rolling with the announcement that Liam Watt of Gala Fairydean Rovers has been fixed up for next season. Midfielder Liam previously played in the SPFL for Airdrie, Brechin City, Livingston and East Fife and then was with East Kilbride prior to joining Gala in 2023. In 2023/24, he was Gala Fairydean's Player of the Year and last season he scored the vital winner for Gala in their crunch end of season encounter with Broomhill. Liam is an experienced, creative and forceful midfield man and we are delighted he is joining us at Central Park.

Paul McLean said, after agreeing matters with Liam, "Delighted to get Watty on board. He’s someone I know well having played with him previously. He is a player we have been tracking for a while and I feel will be great fit for what we as a coaching team are trying to build here. He has great quality on the ball and will bring goals and assists to the team. He fits the mould of how I would want our attacking midfielders to be and I can’t wait to work with him again."

Liam too shared his thoughts, "I am delighted to be here and just can’t wait to get started! I know the gaffer and Fusco very well. We have shared some great memories and I'm hoping we can do that again!"
