Announcing Jack Allan

Posted May 25, 2025

We are delighted to confirm that Jack Allan has signed a pre-contract agreement and will join Cowdenbeath on expiry of his deal with Dundee North End.

The 25 year old midfielder started off his career in the Dundee United academy then moved onto Forfar Athletic. He had a loan spell at Forfar West End before joining his current club in 2020.

We look forward to welcoming Jack to Central Park and seeing him in action in the 2025/26 season.

Upon signing deal, Jack commented "I’m really looking forward to challenging myself in a competitive Lowland League. Coming of the back of winning 2 league titles in the Midlands League, I’m aiming to bring the same winning mentality to Cowdenbeath. I am keen to get started and work with Pabs in playing the style of football he wants his team to play. I’m am looking forward to pre-season and hopefully I can help Cowden have a successful season. Thanks also to Nelly for helping with the arrangements."

Manager Paul McLean gave his thoughts "This was a deal that was arranged before I took the job but I feel it’s a really shrewd signing by the club. A type of player I think we lacked last year. Someone who will probably go under the radar for the work he does. Centre midfielder who breaks up play, good on the ball and covers every blade of grass. Met him a couple of times now and is the exact type of guy I want in the changing room. Someone who wants to be here and improve as a player. Really looking forward to working with him."

With Colin Nelson adding "Happy to announce Jack. He's someone that we have tracked for a good couple of years and finally managed to get him in. He's off the back of a successful period with Dundee North End. He was hungry for a new challenge and felt we were the right option. He's the type of player we want at this club and look forward to seeing him in a Cowden strip."
