Return Of The Nat

We’re delighted to announce the return of a familiar face - Nat Wedderburn!

Nat first made his mark in Scottish football back in 2013 when he joined Cowdenbeath for his initial spell at Central Park. He quickly became a fan's favourite, scoring on his debut against Dunfermline Athletic and going on to make 75 appearances before earning a move to Premiership side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Following his time in the top flight, Nat enjoyed spells with Dunfermline Athletic, Raith Rovers, Airdrieonians and Dumbarton. Most recently, he played a key role at Stenhousemuir, where he helped the club secure its first ever league title during the 2023/24 season. He featured 32 times last season as The Warriors reached the promotion play-offs.

Welcome home, Nat!

After completing his return, Nat commented "I’m happy to be back at the club where my journey in Scotland started. it will be nice to see some familiar faces again and looking forward to the season ahead."

While manager Paul McLean was thrilled with his new recruit "Absolutely buzzing to get Nat onboard. A player well known to Cowdenbeath fans and someone we were desperate to bring in. Has bags of experience in the leagues and can really be a good role model for the young boys we have brought in. Made over 30 appearances in League 1 last year so a great addition to our new look squad."

And Colin Nelson added "Excited to announce the signing of Nat. A real coup getting him back to the club. He's going to be vital for the club in the transition we are in and helping younger players. Delighted we can get this one over the line!"
