Hayward Is Here

We’re pleased to welcome Owen Hayward to the club on loan from Falkirk until the end of the season.

The 20 year old goalkeeper follows in the footsteps of Rhys Walker, who impressed during his own loan spell at Central Park last season.

Owen spent the 2023/24 campaign with Penicuik Athletic and also had a brief loan stint at Dumbarton, which was unfortunately cut short due to injury. Now fully fit, he’s ready for the next chapter of his development with us.

Our new signing commented "I am looking forward to joining Cowdenbeath and getting to meet the lads. It’s a good opportunity for me to get plenty of game time and gain valuable experience and hopefully help the team to have a successful season."

With manager Paul McLean adding "Pleased to get a goalkeeper of his quality signed up. Want to thank Falkirk for sending him to us. Think he can provide good competition for Dion and really look forward to the two of them pushing each other to be the best they can be. I’m always looking for competition for places so really pleased to have two strong keepers at the club."
