Cowden v Morton

The Blue Brazil put up a good show against full-time Greenock Morton in the 1st round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup but the 1st Division side proved too strong and came out 3-1.

Davie Irons' team made a great start to the game and were two goals up within 12 minutes thanks to efforts from Peter Weatherston and Neil McFarlane.

Paul McQuade scored from the penalty spot, his 3rd goal in three games, to pull a goal back after half an hour.
