Injury blow for Dene

PostedDecember 7, 2010

Promising defender Dene Droudge received a blow this week with the news that he requires an operaton to reconstruct his knee. Droudge is due to visit the specialist on Monday and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The 21-year old has already missed the entire First Division campaign after first injuring his knee in the 3-1 win over Clyde at the end of March 2010.

Deno played a vital part in winning promotion from the 2nd Division last season and everyone at Central Park wishes him a speedy recovery.

In other injury news, Joe Mbu, John Armstrong, Kenny Adamson and Richard Vauls have all recovered from their respective injuries but their return to full fitness has been hampered by the weather which has limited game time and training opportunities. 19-year old Danny Mackay - who has been out injured since May 2009 - has stepped up his comeback bid and is aiming to return to competitive action in February.
