Fans can collect tops from 250ml, 500ml, 1 litre and 2 litre bottles of Irn-Bru and the club that collects the most tops will receive £10,000 towards youth development. You can find collection centres at Central Park, IMKO Store and Nisa Store (next to Beath High).
Cowdenbeath FC operates a widely acclaimed youth system with a group of elite youngsters training with the club full-time along with teams participating from under 19 down to under 13s. The focus on youth has produced players of note over the last decade or so including Alan Combe (ex Kilmarnnock and Scotland), Darren McGregor (St. Mirren), Stephen Husband (Blackpool), Archie Campbell (Rangers - currently back at Central Park on loan) and Liam Buchanan (Dunfermline Athletic). The Club has another batch of qualty street kids coming through with home grown prospects Dean Brett, Scott Linton, Jon Robertson, Thomas O'Brien, John Ferguson, Kyle Miller and Lee Wilson all featuring for the 1st team already this season.
It takes significant investment to run our youth system so please support this fantastic Irn-Bru initiative and help raise funds for the Blue Brazil Youth Academy!
The collection closes on 7th May 2011 with every club guaranteed at least £500.
