A late goal denied Cowden all three points at rain lashed Central Park on Tuesday night.
The game went ahead after passing a 2pm pitch inspection and the home side took an early lead from the penalty spot after the linesman spotted a handball in the box. New signing Archie Campbell (8) stepped up to calmly slot home his first senior goal.
The Blue Brazil withstood heavy Thistle pressure after the break, with comeback man Joe Mbu in top form, but the equaliser eventually came with only five minutes remaining after a fine finish from Ian Flanaghan.
The point moves Cowden out of the relegation play-off places and sets the team up for another home Fife derby this weekend with Raith Rovers the visitors this time.
