A battling performance from bottom dogs Forfar Athletic ended Cowden's eight match unbeaten league run thanks to a first half Nicky Low goal.

The Blue Brazil controlled much of the game but we lacked our usual cutting edge in the final third to record a rare blank in front of goal. Numerous chances were created but a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing proved costly. The home side grew in confidence and could have added to their tally as we chased the game late on.

The only goal of the game came on the stroke of half-time when on-loan Aberdeen prospect Low found the net with a low drive from 20 yards out.
