Injury blow for Cowden youngster

19-year old Steven Bennett suffered a broken leg last night playing for Kirkintilloch Rob Roy against a Clyde XI. The promising central defender only joined Rob Roy on loan last week and now faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Bennett is part of the full-time youth set-up and joined the club from Syngenta B.C as a 16-year old. The youngster had previous loan spells with Bellshill Athletic and his hometown team Bo'ness United.
