David Cowan will be out of action for up to three weeks after the former Motherwell right-back suffered a hamstring injury against Stirling Albion.
The 29-year old has been in great form since joining Cowden from Livingston on a short-term deal in September and recently agreed an extended contract until the end of the season. The Englishman will be a great miss but Colin Cameron has a ready made replacement with talented 19-year old Dean Brett ready to step in. The teenager had a fantastic start to the season and only lost his place to Cowan due to a knee injury.
“David has suffered a slight tear to his hamstring and that will keep him out for around three weeks. We have options to cover although David’s experience will be missed,” said Cameron.
