Stirling Albion 1  Cowdenbeath FC 1

Date: 21st February 2012 Kick off: 7:45pm
Competition: Irn-Bru 2nd Division Referee:
Venue: Forthbank Stadium Attendance: 329

A second successive away draw saw us move five points ahead of Arbroath. Joe Mbu passed a fitness test so Colin Cameron was able to field the same starting line up from the weekend draw at Gayfield.
We started the game, played in the combination of a driving wind and rain, brightly and after five minutes Lyle sent a drive just wide of the Albion goal.
Despite us enjoying a lot of possession the home side almost took the lead after 20 minutes when a wind assisted free kick from Crawley was tipped over the bar by Flynn.
The Binos were using the wind to their advantage and eventually broke the deadlock after 28 minutes when Kelbie powered a strong header towards goal which looked to be cleared by Brett but Gary Thom was on hand to force the ball home from close range.
Kicking with the wind at the start of the second half we looked to get back on level terms and were rewarded in 56 minutes when Lyle whipped over an inch perfect cross which Lewis Coult managed to control superbly before side footing the ball behind Reidford.
As the game drew to a close the hosts almost grabbed all three points when Weir steered just wide of target after being set up by Cook.
A keenly contested game saw three bookings for each side – Adamson, Fisher and Mbu of Cowden and Allison, Davidson and Ferry of the Binos.
