A brace from Martin Bavidge, a formidable scorer against us in the past, along with a late free kick from another veteran Barry Wilson saw us go down to our first home league defeat since the opening day of the season.
There were two chances to the starting line up which had lost at Dumbarton a fortnight previously with Kenny Adamson returning from suspension along with Darren McGregor who made his first start of the campaign. Brian Fairbairn and Craig Winter dropped down to the bench.
A bright opening saw Wardlaw shot from the edge of the box deflect off Mann while Ramsay picked up on a poor clearance and tried his luck from 25 yards with a fierce shot which was saved by the diving Jarvie. Droudge then set up McQuade but he dragged his shot across the face of the goal.
After having made little impact the visitors took a surprising lead after 21 minutes when a long lob from
Looking to get back on level terms Ramsay fired wide while Linton tested Jarvie from the edge of the box while at the other end McVitie saw a curling 25 yard shot drift wide of the post.
The second half opened with McQuade and Robertson going close while Armstrong saw a header go just over the bar following a corner.
However the ever dangerous BAVIDGE grabbed a second goal for the visitors after 64 minutes when he beat the offside trap to chip the ball over the advancing Hay.
McQuade came close to pulling a goal back with 17 minutes to go when sent in an 18 yard shot which was heading for the top corner but Jarvie threw himself at the ball and managed to keep the ball out.
Two minutes later we did however manage to grab a lifeline when sub Jay STEIN was set up by Robertson and sent a 14 yard shot past Jarvie.
As we pressed for an equaliser McQuade shot straight at the keeper while Ramsay was once again denied by Jarvie who turned his right foot drive around the post.
In the closing minute it was the visitors however who got the final goal of the afternoon when Barry WILSON fired home a free kick from 22 yards.
