The midweek visit of Albion Rovers saw the lowest crowd of the season at Central Park as we went down to a second successive home defeat.

 

There was one change to the side which had lost at Airdrie with Chris Kane coming in for Jack Beaumont.

 

We forced a corner in the first minute and Michael Dunlop beat Scullion to the ball from McDaid’s kick.

 

With 11 minutes gone Rovers Davidson set up Archibald but the outrushing Adam beat the young forward to the ball.

 

Two minutes later however the visitors took the lead when a Donaldson clearance fell to Scott McBRIDE who fired the ball into the corner of the net.

 

Midway through the first half Gibbons fired a shot in from the edge of the box which was deflected for a corner which saw Scullion header just over the bar.

 

However with 27 minutes gone we were back on level terms. A free kick from Brett into the Rovers box was flicked on by Scullion to GREIG SPENCE who slotted the ball home at the back post.

 

Adam then done well to turn a McBride shot round the post while at the other end Stewart denied McDaid.

 

The second half was barely two minutes old when Scott McBRIDE got what proved to be the winner from what appeared to be an offside position.

 

The rest of the second period proved to be a frustrating affair with few chances for either side although the closing ten minutes saw a late flurry as Barrowman headed just over from a Love cross while Adamson sent a shot just over the bar in the closing minute.
