Brechin City 2  Cowdenbeath FC 2

Date: 13th February 2016 Kick off: 3:00pm
Competition: Ladbrokes League 1 Referee: Mr Craig Charleston
Venue: Glebe Park Attendance: 404

It proved to be another frustrating away day at Glebe Park as we came within seconds of recording only our third away win of the season.

There was one change to the starting line up from midweek with Kieran Gibbons restored to the side with Ross Caldwell dropping to the bench.

The home side had the first chance of the afternoon but Thomson’s shot was cleared off the line by Adamson.

It was however Cowden who opened the scoring with six minutes on the clock when Chris KANE got on the end of a Beaumont free kick to glance home a header.

Both sides had their chances thereafter but it was City who levelled the score seven minutes from the break when Jonathan Tiffoney netted from a Weatherston cross.

Home keeper Smith then denied Spence and right on the half time whistle a Jackson shot came off Admanson’s arm but play was waived on.

Four minutes into the second half former Central Parker Jackson saw a shot come off the post and the follow up by Shepherd was saved by Adam.

Smith then twice came to City’s rescue saving from both Gibbons and Caldwell but in 84 minutes he was at fault allowing a cross cum shot from Dean BRETT to bounce over him as we restored our lead.

Just as the points looked to be in the bag Jackson fed the ball to Scott SHEPHERD and his low shot took a deflection as it beat Adam at his right hand post.
