The under 19s were back in action  tonight at the Airdrie Sports Centre losing to a Diamonds side coached by former Central Parker Jimmy Boyle.

After a goal less first half, the hosts scored two goals in the opening minutes of the second half.

A Donnelly shot was handled on the Cowden goal and Aiden Malone slotted the resulting penalty past Wilson.

Sixty seconds later the Diamonds went two up when Grant Easton fired home a low shot.

We managed to pull a goal back after 69 minutes when Chris King scored with a penalty but with ten minutes to go Airdrie got their second spot kick of the night after Donnelly was brought down and once again Malone slotted home.

In injury time Malone got his hat trick with a shot from just inside the box which took a defelection.
