Competition: Lowland League Referee: Iain Snedden

For the second time this season the Wee Gers came from behind to beat us as they maintained their place at the top of the table ahead of the chasing pack.

A busy start saw us have the first half of the afternoon when Dan Watt played the ball through to Mikey Cunningham but the danger was cleared. Just a minute later at the other end Lovelace sent a cross into the box but Robbie Ure was snuffed out by the home defence.

The frantic pace continued in the fifth minute when a pass from Scott Walker was flicked into the path of Scott Sinclair who flicked the ball to Wall but his shot was turned out for a corner. Sinclair and Cunningham then set up Watt but Jack Harness cleared the danger.

With 11 minutes gone we eventually broke the deadlock when Sam Neman sent a cross into the box and CUNNINGHAM slotted home for the second successive week at the back post. Cunningham then almost got his second goal of the afternoon with 24 minutes gone but keeper Jacob Pazikas tipped his shot over the bar.

A minute later the Wee Gers got back on level terms when Lovelace found himself in space in the box but Danny Farrell managed to save his shot but Charlie LINDSAY followed up to roll the ball into the empty net.

A minute from the break perhaps saw the turning point of the afternoon when Iain Davidson fouled Lovelace and in the aftermath both he and Johnly Yfeko were show red cards by referee Iain Snedden.

The time added on in the aftermath then allowed the Wee Gers to get what proved to be the winner when Lindsay turned provider with a corner which was headed home by Connor ALLAN.

The second half turned out to be a more- low key 45 minutes with the first chance coming three minutes in when Robbie Fraser sent a free kick over the bar. Ross McAusland then went on a run but was stopped in his tracks by Stuart Love was booked with the subsequent free kick from Lindsay being saved by Farrell.

Fraser then sent a cross into the box which was met by Robbie Ure but his downward header was blocked by Farrell’s leg.

Our best chance of an equaliser came in 71 minutes when David Struthers latched onto a long ball but his shot was saved by Pazikas.

Ure then went close for the visitors when he again got on the end of a Lovelace cross but his shot was blocked by Lemon.

The result saw us drop down back to 16th in the table following East Stirling’s win at Gala but we have played four games less.
